Founded in November 2019 and brought to life in March 2020, Healing Not Hurting was born out of a simple but powerful belief — that healing shouldn’t be hidden, rushed, or ashamed. It should be lived.
What started as one woman’s vision to bring peace to her own story has grown into a healing-centered lifestyle brand and movement dedicated to helping people become mentally, emotionally, and spiritually whole.
From apparel and books to youth programs and national workshops, Healing Not Hurting bridges faith, culture, and emotional wellness to create spaces where healing is both attainable and elevated — a new standard of living, not just survival.
We are the reminder that healing can look like boundaries and breakthroughs, conversations and quiet moments, therapy and prayer. That wholeness can be practiced in what we wear, how we speak, how we love, and how we show up — for ourselves and others.
Over the years, Healing Not Hurting has expanded into multiple layers:
Every product, post, and program carries the same purpose — to help people heal, grow, and live whole.

Ebony Hardy is the visionary behind Healing Not Hurting — an author, trauma-informed strategist, youth educator, and speaker often called “The Bloodline Changer.”
With over 13 years as a licensed cosmetologist and former salon owner, Ebony’s gift has always been transformation — first through beauty, now through healing. In 2019, after walking through her own journey of restoration, she turned pain into purpose by creating a space where others could do the same.
Under her leadership, Healing Not Hurting has grown into a multifaceted ecosystem that merges wellness, education, and lifestyle.
It includes:
Through these platforms, Ebony helps people and communities heal mentally, emotionally, and spiritually — blending faith, culture, and emotional intelligence into every conversation and experience. Her approach is honest, restorative, and deeply relational, proving that healing can be both sacred and practical.
She continues to lead with one guiding truth:
“Healing isn’t just about where you’ve been — it’s about who you’re becoming.”
